Clinic at-a-glance:

CTCA Southwestern Regional Medical Center is Oklahoma’s only major hospital focused fully on treating cancer patients, especially those with complex or advanced-stage cancer. The institution prides itself on offering integrated care that blends surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, physical therapy, nutritional counseling, naturopathic medicine, mind-body therapy and spiritual support. Both the medical technology and the clinical expertise that goes hand-in-glove with it are state of the art. Available technologies include CyberKnife VSI with Robocouch and a new Interventional Radiology suite built around the GE Innova Image Guided System 540 and the Veran IG4 Navigation System. The facility collaborates with Merrimack Pharmaceuticals to help the drug maker develop new therapies. CTCA Southwestern contributes archived tumor biopsies from its extensive databank, as well as prospectively collected tumor samples which are then analyzed by Merrimack to identify the molecular-level network signaling that drives cancer growth.
